Clinical Services

CMHS offers a variety of psychological services offered to assist you in managing the many demands and developmental challenges of college including:

Getting Started

Triage System:

To make your initial contact with CMHS, please call (860) 486-4705 and schedule a 15 minute telephone interview with a staff therapist to determine the type of service needed.

Initial Assessment:

A therapist will review the information provided by the student in the triage appointment. A therapist will call to set up this first appointment. The student and therapist will then meet to decide together how counseling can be most helpful. When further treatment is indicated, the therapist will schedule follow-up appointment(s). Before the appointment, we ask you to complete an information packet, available on-line (download here ) or at the CMHS office. The packet provides the therapist with additional important information about your concerns.

Walk-in:

Crisis intervention services are also offered during regular clinic hours for students with urgent problems. Please call or walk-in and inform our receptionist you have an emergency.
